• Why does my address plot incorrectly in MapQuest, Google Maps, Yahoo Maps, etc.?
  

  The reason your address is plotting incorrectly is because the map data these websites use is out of date.  Branch County does not provide said websites with the digital map data they use.  There are two main private companies that typically provide the map data used in most online routing applications.  These two companies are Navteq and Teleatlas.  Both companies provide map error reporting links on their respective websites for the general public to report map errors.  If you are having trouble getting accurate directions to and from your address the GIS department suggests going to both websites and reporting the error(s).  The links for both companies map error reporters are provided below:
